1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using PillTrove (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service is provided by Alteox SARL, a company registered in Luxembourg. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PillTrove is a medication inventory management application that allows you to: • Scan medication packaging using your device camera • Store and organise medication information in digital cabinets • Track expiry dates and stock levels • Search medications by symptoms • View drug information (dosage, side effects, warnings) The Service is available on iOS, Android, and Web platforms.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use PillTrove. You are responsible for: • Providing accurate registration information • Maintaining the security of your account credentials • All activity that occurs under your account You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are between 16 and 18, you confirm that your legal guardian consents to your use of the Service.
4. Subscription, Billing and Cancellation
PillTrove is free to use for a limited number of medication scans. Continued scanning and AI-powered medication information require PillTrove Premium, an auto-renewing subscription. • Title: PillTrove Premium (annual) • Length: 1 year • Price: the price shown on the subscription screen at the time of purchase, charged in your App Store or Google Play account's currency Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account on confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for a further year unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and partial periods are not refunded except where required by law. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by Alteox SARL.
5. Medical Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: PillTrove is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All drug information displayed in the app (dosage, side effects, interactions, warnings) is for informational purposes only and is sourced from public pharmaceutical databases. This information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Always consult your doctor, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare professional before taking any medication. Never rely solely on PillTrove for medical decisions. The AI-powered scanning feature may produce errors in text recognition. Always verify extracted information (especially expiry dates and dosage) against the physical packaging.
6. Intellectual Property
The PillTrove application, including its code, design, branding, and content, is the intellectual property of Alteox SARL. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service. Your medication data and photos remain your property. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Luxembourg law and EU consumer protection regulations: • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind • We are not liable for any damages arising from reliance on information displayed in the app • We are not liable for errors in AI-powered text extraction • We are not liable for data loss, though we take reasonable measures to prevent it Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable EU or Luxembourg law.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in abusive behaviour. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Luxembourg City. If you are an EU consumer, you also benefit from mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under EU consumer law.
